Livable Wages

Our livable wages programs take place entirely during the second stage of our partnering process. These programs aim to develop mind sets and institutions that shift economic dynamics from personal exploitation to cooperation, while introducing new modes of production and accessing new markets.

Killing the Coyote — A program designed to set up cooperatives of small agricultural producers and then eliminate the exploitation of middle-men (coyotes) by gaining direct access to national markets.

Mi Casa es Su Casa — A home stay program designed to boost local economies and provide an infrastructure for development workers by hosting guests in local homes, and thereby providing them with a genuine cross-cultural experience.

Bridging the Gap — A program designed to set up cooperatives of local producers of exportable goods and then bridge the first-third world economic divide by using the internet to gain direct access to international markets.

Micro-Credit Education — A work shop designed to weigh the pros and cons of obtaining micro-credit, and then if necessary obtaining micro-credit for participants.
