Volunteer Tourism Trip

Experience the exquisite wonders of Honduras and participate in meaningful work in this perfectly balanced volunteer tourism trip. On this adventure, you'll spend ample exploring the natural wonders of jungles and coral reefs, while tasting the vibrant culture of Honduras. You'll also get explosed to local lifestyles and make lifetime friendships as your group works on Un Mundo's communuty-based projects for a day or two.

This trip is geared toward groups of travellers who are interested in participating in activities that make a difference throughout their journey. Time will be balanced between sight-seeing and volunteering with Un Mundo.

Activities:

  • Cultural exchange with local communities
  • Service on local community projects with Un Mundo communities in need
  • Hiking to breath-taking waterfalls
  • Rafting and swimming in the spectacular Cangrejal River
  • Snorkeling and diving on Roatan Island
  • Explore and learn about Mayan History in Copan Ruinas

Itinerary:

  • 2-3 days in the famous Copan Ruinas visiting the ruins and working with local community organization
  • 3-4 days in the Cangrejal Valley, rural jungle adventures, hiking, rafting and working and swimming with local community members on community projects
  • 2-3 days on Roatan in the Bay Islands enjoying the beautiful beaches, snorkeling and diving on the world’s second largest barrier reef
  • 1 night in La Ceiba

Cost: Please inquire. Cost will be per person, and will include cost for includes all in-country fees such as lodging, food, transport, translation and excursions, as well as project costs. Will not include flights to Honduras, nor exit or entry fees.
