Un Mundo is a nonprofit international development organization with a comprehensive and revolutionary approach to its work. We are a movement whose mission is to promote dignity, community, and self-sufficiency while facilitating access to health care, education, and livable wages in marginalized Honduran communities.

Where We Work

Un Mundo works in rural Honduran communities where extreme inequality forces most families to live on the margins of survival. Honduras is one of the poorest countries in the world – 80 percent of its population lives in poverty, with most of the poorest concentrated in rural areas. Since Un Mundo’s inception, our energies have been focused in the Cangrejal River Valley, located on the eastern edge of Pico Bonito National Park in Honduras.

How Can You Help?
Learn about the many ways you can help Un Mundo and the communities where we work by visiting our How You Can Help page (left). With generosity and support from people such as you, Un Mundo can help bring dignity, community and self-sufficiency to hundreds of Honduran families.
